Christ's shining light

"Arise, shine for thy light has come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee" (Isaiah 60:1). This is a promise by God of the coming of new hope, a new understanding, a Messiah. Arise and be fulfilled in the light of the glorious revelation which has dawned upon us. The resurrection of Jesus has revealed our true existence as the children of God.

"For the law was given be Moses, but Grace and Truth came by Jesus Christ" (John 1:17). The Truth revealed to us by the risen Christ is that we are the spiritual ideas of God. Our physical body is but a temporary being whereas our spiritual being or soul is eternal. The prescriptive laws of the Old Testament are replaced by just two enlightened Christian commandments: to love and know God with all thy heart and all thy mind and all thy strength, and; to love thy neighbour as thyself.

"arise, shine" complete in the knowledge of His everlasting love. Let Grace and Truth fill your life and motivate your thoughts, words and actions with love. Christ has rolled away the stone unblocking the dark sepulchre of human consciousness to let the light of truth and love in. The resurrection is the triumph of Cross over the crown (I Cor. 9:25); the triumph of the Truth over the rules of mankind. Once you have seen the true light as revealed by Jesus your mortal mind will no longer be to hide the truth from you. You will no longer be left at the mercy of arbitrary material laws.

"Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32).

"This then is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent" (John 17:3).

What a wonderful and life changing blessing we have received from God. Jesus' revelations have shone a new light on our understanding of God and our relationship with Him. We are free, no longer held in subjection to the darkness of mortal mind. Christ has revealed that our sole purpose on this earth is to love and understand God through his teachings and healing works. In so doing we may regain eternal life by the spirit of adoption hereby we might cry " Abba, Father" (Gal.4:4-7).

"This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you. God is light and in him is no darkness at all" (I John 1:5). God is only goodness and light and in Him is no evil at all. God is not the creator of of the sickness and troubles that we see in the world today. God is Grace and Truth. He does not know evil or the ills of this world.

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and cometh down from the Father of Lights, with whom is no variableness or shadow of turning" (James1:17). God only bestows goodness and love on His children. There is no variableness in God's love and care for us. Nor will he ever turn away from us. No longer do we have to feel alone and frightened in the dark, subjected to the randomness of pandemics: " because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth" (I John 2:8). The "dark" and harsh rules of Mosaic law, are "past". Love alone rules. Though " a thousand shall fall at the right side, and ten thousand to thy right hand, but it shall not come nigh to thee" (Psalms 91:7). what a comforting revelation this is. We cannot be thankful enough to God for His blessings; for the protection He affords His children.
