Grace and truth came by Jesus Christ

"The law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ"

(John1:17). The prophets and the Mosaic laws have fulfilled their purpose. Since the advent of Jesus there is a new dispensation. Love alone rules. as Christians we are governed by two simple commandments. "To love the lord thy God with all thy heart, soul, strength and mind and, thy neighbour as thy self" (Like 10:27). The first commandment governs our spiritual life and the second our earthly one. Jesus has replaced the harsh mosaic laws with the law of love and the Old Testament with the New. Paul had a great understanding of Jesus's message, but I feel in some areas he is harking back to the old Mosaic laws. contrary to John 1:17. I think that Paul found it very difficult to give up those laws in which he had been so thoroughly trained and which he ruthlessly enforced before his conversion. Don't judge, only love your fellow man.
