John's description of the real you.

1 John 1:1-3.

"Behold, what manner of love the father hath bestowed upon us that we should be called the sons of God: Therefore, the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

Beloved, now are we the sons of God and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear we shall be like him for we shall see him as he is and every man that hath this hope in him is purified even as he is pure".

In these verses John explains Jesus' message, "hidden from the foundation of the world", that the real man is a spiritual man made in God's image. Let me show you step by step.

"Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.:

What an amazing gift of love from God that He would make us Hui sons. But the world doesn't understand the true nature of the child of God because it only saw the physical man Jesus and not the spiritual one which is the real child of God. Therefore it doesn't understand that the real us is a spiritual entity also.

"Beloved, now are we the sons of God and it doth not appear what we shall be; but we know that, when he shall appear we shall be like him for we shall see him as he is"

We are right now and always have been, whether we know it or not, the children of God. When we understand his true nature we will see him as he is. We will understand that we too are the spiritual children of God.

"And every man that hath this hope in him purified himself even as he is pure".

Every man that hopes and prays for this understanding is becoming like Jesus. He is having that mind in him which was also in Christ Jesus though the process of purification by the removal of all un-Godlike thoughts from your consciousness.
