why did Jesus heal people?

Jesus used healings to convince people of the truth that he was preaching. It is worth noting that he did not heal everyone that he came in contact with nor are the people he raised from the dead alive today. This shows us that his main purpose was not to prolong or improve the human existence. Healing in itself was not his mission, nor should it be ours. His purpose was to teach us how to regain our spiritual birthright as the children of God. Our mission, either here or hereafter, is to achieve that state of mind that was also in Christ Jesus.
